![]() The fleur de lis has a rich history, dating all the way to 493 and King Clovis I. It is a beloved symbol here in Louisiana and one visiting the state will find it everywhere, from stickers on car windows, embroidered on purses and clothing to beautiful pieces of jewelry. It’s the official symbol of our New Orleans Saints and on July 8, 2008, Governor Bobby Jindal, signed a bill making the fleur de lis the official symbol of Louisiana.
